What is Reproflexology™?

Reproflexology™ (Reproductive Reflexology) is a treatment using specific reflexology protocols to support couples who are trying to conceive, either naturally or through assisted conception.

After a thorough consultation, both partners’ specific needs will be assessed and a treatment plan given to balance hormones and improve any physical disorders. The treatment works closely with the menstrual cycle to regulate and maintain it, preparing the body to be at its optimal fertility to support a pregnancy. Trying to conceive can be a stressful time and Reproflexology™ will help to reduce stress levels

Members of the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists (I am a full member) are specially trained to work alongside medicated cycles such as Clomid, Metformin, IUI, IVF, ICSI & donor sperm/egg, to enhance the medication’s efficacy and ease any side effects.

What will happen?

The first step is a detailed consultation where there is a holistic approach taken not only in the physical but also the mental and emotional aspects. Stress, diet and lifestyle are discussed and changes made where necessary. It is a good idea to have recent hormone blood tests and sperm analysis results before attending the consultation.

The initial treatment plan involves a 12 week programme to help improve the quality of the sperm, balance hormones and improve any menstrual conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis & fibroids. The female client will have her menstrual cycle closely monitored over the three months for signs of ovulation and any hormonal imbalances that need to be addressed. The male client will be asked to have a further sperm test about 10 weeks into the programme to assess the progress and whether the couple are ready to start trying to conceive.

After 12 weeks, it is usual for the couple to have made the necessary improvements needed to support a healthy pregnancy and begin to actively try to conceive either naturally or embark with their medicated cycle. For best results, it is better to treat the couple with regular reflexology rather than just the female client.

Once there is a healthy pregnancy, the reflexology techniques alter slightly and the programme changes to support the pregnancy throughout the three trimesters.

I understand how difficult and stressful it can be when conception hasn't been easy. That is why I am committed in supporting you through your journey to become parents.

"I approached Julia with regard to reproductive reflexology after having suffered pregnancy loss. From there I embarked on a journey of ovulation charting and regular reflexology sessions including being taught reflexology methods to do at home at certain time during your cycle. I was told my body should be ready to support a pregnancy after three months of treatment. 3 months in and I fell pregnant and am now a proud mum to a gorgeous daughter. I can highly recommend Julia as a therapist. She is caring and supportive and very knowledgable in her line of work. I can't thank her enough for all her support." Anon, Camborne
